HOW TO APPLY

Personalise your boots in minutes.

My Sport ID transfers are quick and easy to apply. For the strongest bond and best-looking finish, follow these simple steps.

CLEAN & DRY

Make sure your boots are clean and completely dry. Remove mud, dirt and debris, then thoroughly clean the application area using the priming wipe provided. Allow the surface to dry completely.

POSITION

Prepare your transfer and decide exactly where you want it before applying. Choose a smooth, firm area wherever possible and avoid touching the adhesive side of the design.

PRESS FIRMLY

Place the transfer onto the boot and press firmly across the entire design. Use your thumb for around 10–15 seconds, paying particular attention to the edges.

PEEL SLOWLY

Wait approximately 60 seconds, then slowly peel the clear carrier film from one corner. If any section lifts, lay the film back down, apply firm pressure again and slowly re-peel.

GET THE BEST RESULTS

⌖ PICK THE RIGHT SPOT

Transfers work best on clean, dry, smooth and firm surfaces. Avoid knitted or fabric sections, very rough textures, deep creases, flex points and areas that constantly rub.

☝ PRESSURE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Apply firm, even pressure across the whole design, including the edges. The more textured the surface, the more carefully the transfer needs to be worked into it.

◷ GIVE IT TIME

The transfer bonds immediately, but we recommend at least 1–2 hours before use. For the best bond, apply your transfers the night before you play.

TEXTURED BOOTS

Modern football boots can have highly textured uppers designed to improve grip on the ball.

Choose the smoothest available area, use plenty of pressure and allow extra bonding time before wearing the boots.

Very heavily textured, knitted or fabric surfaces may not be suitable.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR TRANSFERS

Clean your boots using a damp cloth or suitable boot-cleaning wipe. Avoid aggressive scrubbing directly over the transfer or picking at its edges.
